Marilyn Hickey, author of The Names of God,
says that
"Jesus wants you to have a total image of Himself living through you.
He gives you that image in the name Jehovah M'Kaddesh."
She quotes from Leviticus 20:7-8,
which says,
"Sanctify yourselves therefore,
and be ye holy;
for I am the LORD your God...
I am the LORD
(Jehovah M'Kaddesh)
which sanctifies you."
I find it interesting that she also points out that
"the people were to sanctify themselves.
God did not do all of the sanctifying.
Within the personality of Jehovah M'Kaddesh
lies the truth that men must choose holiness."
I am still studying this name for God,
and have a lot to learn about it.
