This Name for God is not written in Hebrew,
but rather in Aramaic.
If it were written in Hebrew,
it would be written as
SON of ADAM.
I found it very interesting that Daniel 2:4b through Daniel 7:28
was written in Aramaic whereas the rest of Daniel,
and most of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew.
In the New Testament where Jesus is referred to as
THE SON of MAN,
it is written in Greek.
|"I watched until thrones were set up|
and the Ancient One,
Who has lived for endless years, sat down.
His clothes were as white as snow
and the hair on His head was like pure wool.
His throne was fiery flames,
and its wheels were burning fire.
A river of fire flowed.
It came from Him.
Thousands and thousands served Him.
Ten thousand times ten thousand were stationed in front of Him.
The court convened,
and the books were opened...
In my visions during the night,
I saw among the clouds in heaven
someone like the BAR-ENASH
(the SON of MAN).
He came to the Ancient One,
who has lived for endless years
and was presented to Him.
He was given power, honor, and a kingdom.
People from every province, nation, and language were to serve Him.
His power is an eternal power that will not be taken away.
His kingdom will never be destroyed."
When the high priest questioned Jesus
if He really was the Son of God, Jesus answered him saying:
"...Hereafter you will see the SON of MAN
sitting at the right hand of the Power,
and coming on the clouds of heaven."
That will be an exciting day when we get to witness this!
I don't know about you,
but I'm glad my name is written in the Book of Life!
